This year, severe procrastinatory impulses led me to blow off writing assignments in favor of holiday craft projects. We constructed paper chains out of old magazines and made an (almost-completed) garland of mini purple tissue paper flowers. I used some feathers collected in Tanzania to make simple glass ornaments (thank you CB2). But by far my favorite Christmas activity is making snowflakes. I approach obsessive-compulsive heights of exactitude, we're talking Edward Scissorhands here, kids. For those of you that want the look with less work, check out this DIY project made with vintage doilies from one of my favorite blogs, Dos Family. Purty, right? Sigh. I'm all reindeers and marshmallows this year kids. I mean, I am just all up in the Christmas spirit.
Merry and bright!
